Dr. Vrej K. Manoogian is a world-renowned, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, and dually Fellowship trained in spine and total joint reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.

Dr. Manoogian is the founder of Manoogian Orthopedic Center and has been in private practice for over 25 years. He is a recognized leader in Orthopedic Surgery, always striving to create improved techniques, instruments, and prostheses to improve his patient’s outcomes through the perfection of orthopedic care and protocols.

Dr. Manoogian earned his medical degree at Kansas City University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. He also completed a Fellowship in Total Joint Replacement at the Townley Orthopedic Clinic in Port Huron, MI. Additionally, Dr. Manoogian completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Manoogian has multiple publications and has earned many awards and accolades. After scoring in the 99% percentile on the written National Orthopedic Board Examination, he was invited to serve on the Test Development Committee, where he was responsible for writing questions for future written Orthopedic Board Exams. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Vrej Manoogian is the inventor of "The Living Hip" prosthesis, a total hip replacement system that closely mimics the natural design of the hip joint and has been successfully used for over 20 years. He has developed numerous orthopedic care protocols for the treatment of orthopedic conditions that have proven to provide excellent results with some of the lowest reported complication rates. He is currently working on numerous new instruments and techniques to improve the national outcomes of arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs. One of his favorite mentors taught him to always think how to better or improve the status quo. This drove him to develop the “System and Method for Capping a High Pressure Line”, US PATENT #8689834, in an effort to help stop the disastrous Deep Horizon gulf oil spill in 2010.

Dr. Manoogian loves spending time with his wife, four children, family, and friends. When he isn’t in the office or operating room, Dr. Manoogian can be found volunteering, flying, knife making, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.
