On August 17, 2020 Dr. Vrej K. Manoogian Performed the first outpatient total joint replacement at the Surgery Center of Mount Dora. Today 95% of all Total Hip & Knee replacements are performed as an outpatient procedure at Manoogian Orthopedic Center. True to the commitment of providing the highest level of safety, care and effectiveness of the orthopedic care patients receive, Dr. Manoogian spent over one year crafting the program, paying attention to every detail that could impact the quality of that care, before performing the first outpatient total joint.

Patients undergo their total hip or total knee as an outpatient and are discharged home to recover in the safety and comfort of their own homes. They recover under the loving care and guidance of the home health team that works in close direct communication with the team at Manoogian Orthopedic Center.
